About Me

"I was born and raised in Charleston, SC, where I continue to live and work.  I was a professional musician for around a decade and I gained most of my experience in recording audio and video from my time in the music business.  I live for the creative process and I love capturing the energy and essence of a moment, preserving it and enhancing it. "

Q&A:

"What's experience do you have, what have you done
before?"

Well, I was in the music business for about ten years.  I was in a band that toured for the better part of the last decade.  We put out five records and we produced a couple of films as well.  We were moderately successful and received pretty extensive airplay on radio stations around the world.  We also had some music on MTV and on VH1 and one of our records, "The Guf", received a lot of critical acclaim and was a moderate indie success.

How does that relate to videography?  Well, making a record is surprisingly similar to making a film.  In fact, I currently use the same software to edit film that I used to make all of the records I've made over the past ten years, Sony Pictures' Vegas Studio.  All of the processes for editing film are exactly like editing audio except there are pictures there too.  It's great because it opens the door for even more creativity and fun.

As far as experience behind the camera goes, I have received extensive training from the best photographer I know, my wife Kim Graham.  A video camera is no different than a regular camera to me when it comes to the pictures.  I just try to get really good, quality photos in motion picture form.

"What kind of equipment do you use?"

I use the Cannon GL2 digital video camera.  For editing I use Adobe Premiere software with a variety of plug-ins and accompaniments.
